Top OEMS in Mexico

The effect of Global Market in Automotive Industry since 80's has been growing steady. Some OEMs moved their value chain to other countries to be competitives. Mexico is a country that has been accomplished the role of Automotive Hub (creation of private and public infraestructure like Industrial Parks and Dried Ports) that is defined as a Economic Model in International Logistics.
Actually Forbes Mexico estimated a needed more than 11M of sqm for Industrial Real Estate. The cause is the FDI of China, Taiwan, Japon, South of Korea, Europe and USA. These countries need to translate their value chain to Mexico. This new wave have been taking strenght as an effect of Nearshoring.
OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) are located in various regions of Mexico. However, there are some regions that are known for their concentration of automotive manufacturing facilities. These regions include:
Bajio region - This region is located in central Mexico and includes the states of Guanajuato, Aguascalientes, Jalisco, San Luis Potosi, and Queretaro. It is one of the fastest-growing regions for automotive manufacturing in Mexico, with OEMs such as Honda, Mazda, Toyota, and General Motors all having production facilities there. Northern region - This region includes the states of Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, and Tamaulipas. It is a major center for automotive manufacturing in Mexico, with OEMs such as Ford, General Motors, and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) all having production facilities there.
Central region - This region includes the states of Mexico, Morelos, and Puebla. It is a major center for automotive manufacturing in Mexico, with OEMs such as Volkswagen, Audi, and BMW all having production facilities there.
Pacific region - This region includes the states of Sonora, Sinaloa, and Jalisco. It is a growing center for automotive manufacturing in Mexico, with OEMs such as Mazda, Honda, and General Motors all having production facilities there.
These regions offer a favorable business environment, skilled labor force, and access to key infrastructure and transportation networks, making them attractive locations for OEMs to establish manufacturing operations in Mexico.
